The forest here dates back 260 million years C talk about the echo of the ancients. Endau-Rompin National Park is that pristine, waterfall-laden jungle teeming with animals that comes to mind when you hear the phrase 'deep Malaysian interior'. Straddling the Johor-Pahang border, the 870-sq-km park is the second-largest on the peninsula after the much more developed Taman Negara. In fact, there are few trails in Endau-Rompin so exploration is limited C unless you're gonna bust out some serious Bungalow Bill machete skills C but what you can see is spectacular. |
