Of all Malaysia s hill stations, Bukit Fraser (Fraser s Hill), around 100km north of KL, retains the most colonial-era charm. Yet it attracts a fraction of the visitor numbers of a place like Cameron Highlands. Spread across seven densely forested hills in the Titiwangsa Range at an altitude ranging from 1220m to 1524m, this cool, quiet and relatively undeveloped station offers hiking and birdwatching within a short stroll of the village centre. With some excellent old-world accommodation options, Bukit Fraser is one of the best overnight retreats close to KL. |
